- The last date for the registration of the JEE Main 2020 registration for the month of January examination is 30th September 2019 and the last day of fee submission is 1st October 2019.

JEE Main 2020 Eligibility Criteria (Age Limit, Nationality, Qualifications, etc.)
One of the most important points every candidate should remember before you attempt the process of JEE Main 2020 registration is to follow the JEE Main Eligibility criteria. As the examination is being conducted by the NTA, there are some important changes which have been made in the eligibility criteria of the JEE Mains. Some of the important criteria regarding JEE Mains examination are given below:
Criteria for Nationality
The criteria for nationality in the JEE Mains 2020 examination has been set that all candidates irrespective of their nationality can take part in the JEE Mains 2020 examination. The only difference would be in their application fees.
Criteria for Age Limit
Before, JEE Main eligibility criteria had many restrictions on the age of the candidates who can apply for the examination. The criteria’s for the minimum age limit and the maximum age limit for the candidates of General as well as backward communities and categories were defined. But in the JEE Main 2020 registration, all the rules regarding age limit has been removed and candidates from any age category can apply for the JEE Main examinations 2020.
In the previous year of the JEE examinations the students belonging to the general category who were born not before 1993 or have attained the age of 25 years was the maximum age limit that was allowed in the JEE Mains, for SC/ST candidates there was a relaxation of 5 years where their maximum allowable age for attempting the JEE Mains became 30 years. But in the JEE Main 2020 registration form, it has been mentioned that there is no age limit for attempting JEE Mains examination for any candidates belonging to the General/PWD/SC/ST/OBC categories.
Although there can be restrictions in some institutions where the institutions themselves set some prerequisites for minimum or maximum age of any candidates who are about to take admission in their college through JEE Main 2020.
There is also a reservation of 10% seats for the EWS (Economically Weaker Section) candidates which have been approved by the NTA. The certificate of EWS is not required to be submitted or uploaded during the application of JEE Main 2020, but it would be compulsory to show it during admission.
It has also been issued in the JEE Main Eligibility criteria 2020 that the students who have passed their 10+2 boards from a recognized institute in 2018, 2019 are also eligible for the JEE Main 2020 registration. The candidates can apply for the JEE Main exam irrespective of their age, but they have to have passed their 10+2 exams in 2018 or 2019 and not before that. The candidates who are about to appear for their 10+2 exams in the academic year 2020 are also allowed to sit for the exams irrespective of their age.
The candidates of JEE Main 2020 registration can apply for the exams for a total 3 consecutive years which would include 6 attempts as the JEE Main is being conducted twice a year from now onwards.
